Mindy Schumacher is the printmaker and textile designer behind Follysome Prints of Rockford, IL.
She first dabbled in linocut printmaking at Bradley University while studying Philosophy and Psychology. She cobbled together various skills and was drawn to the slow, thoughtful and antiquated processes of traditional hand block printing for textiles.
Mindy now lives out her fascination with the rhythm of patterns in her creative practice. She enjoys the privilege of teaching block printing workshops across the U.S. and internationally, also teaching children’s piano from her home. Many of her designs are for functional home decor and accessories for everyday life.
